 The Most Important Question

                                     of Your Life...

  Do You Know Jesus?

What really happens to you when you die? Is it possible to know?

 There’s good news for you:
God loves you, and He’s looking for YOU.
Pray the prayer at the end of this short article,
or put it into your own words.

Is the Concept of a personal ‘God’ Realistic?

Popular culture often calls God ‘the Universe.’  It seems unoffensive.  Politically correct.  Even a little
cool. But if someone says the word “God” (even with disclaimers like “however you perceive Him/Her”) many people
roll their eyes...  “Ok, here it comes... That’s just so OLD-school... Seriously?... This must be
karma for something I did...”

So people flow through their life – blaming bad things on the Universe.  And occasionally trying
to figure out what “the Universe” is telling them.

How does the concept of a loving heavenly Father even compute in this enlightened, fatherless
generation? The only “father” many people know is messed-up, abusive, or simply absent.

Yet every human being has a built-in need for their “father’s blessing” as well as their “mother’s
blessing.”  We look for their approval.  Subconsciously, it controls our lives.  And we hate that!

So if you aren’t sure God even exists, ask Him to introduce Himself to you.  Jesus is doing that
right now on planet Earth.  He’s introducing Himself to a generation that doesn’t trust Religion.
They want reality.  (Important fact:  Jesus did not come to set up Religion.  He actually opposes it.
He didn’t bring a list of do’s and don’t’s.  Jesus wants a heart to heart relationship with you.)

God is visiting people.  He will visit YOU.  Ask Him to do that, and wait for it.  He usually shows up
when you’re not expecting it.

What Really Happens to You When You Die?

You are an eternal spirit.  The real “you” on the inside is a spirit being.  You’re created to live
forever.  Your physical body is your “Earth suit.”  It allows you to function in this physical realm.
If something happens to shut down your Earth suit (death) then you can’t stay on planet Earth.
At that point, you’re required to leave here and continue to exist eternally either in Heaven or Hell,
wherever you chose.
“To be absent from the body [is] to be present with the Lord.”
(2 Corinthians 5:8)

Side-Note: Hell is a literal place. It’s not a big party.  If you go there, you won’t even SEE your
friends.  It’s a place of weeping, grinding of teeth, fire, torment, pain and complete darkness.
The worst part of Hell is total separation from God (Light, Love & Life.)  Hell is a real place, and you
don’t want to go there.

Satan is the original abuser. Going to Hell is brutal torture every day, lying in a bed of fire, with
no hope of anyone coming to your rescue.
God did not create Hell for humans!  He created Hell
to imprison Satan and his demonic army.

It breaks God’s heart when His most precious creation – Humans! PEOPLE! – choose Hell instead
of choosing Jesus.

Salvation does not come by following organized Religion, joining the “right” church, doing
good deeds, or even living a moral life. Your eternal destination is BASED ON A CHOICE: Your choice.
The choice you make
here. While you still have your Earth suit.

“Jesus said... ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
(John 14:6)

If you choose to accept Jesus as your Lord while you’re still in your Earth suit, then you will go
to Heaven for eternity.  (And no, Heaven isn’t boring. You don’t sit around on clouds strumming harps.
Heaven is a very busy, prosperous place!  Our planet Earth was modeled after Heaven.)

But if you don’t choose Jesus, it’s a different story.  Many good people don’t believe they need
Jesus.  They think they’re already good and moral, and don’t understand their need for Jesus.
Choosing NOT to choose IS A CHOICE.  If you don’t specifically ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior,
then no matter how great you lived your life.... when you stand before God, He will have to say,
“Depart from Me.  I NEVER KNEW YOU.”

Here’s the thing:  God loves and values YOU so much, He made a way for you.  God’s Son, Jesus
Christ, said, “I AM the way...”  He died to carry the punishment for every sin ever committed.  He shed
His Blood to cleanse you... To make you clean on the inside, so you can stand in the Presence of God
without shame.  So you can relate to a true heavenly Father who loves you.  A Father who delights
to give you the “Father’s blessing.”

Your heart longs for it. And you can have it!  The Bible says concerning salvation: "...Unless one is BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (literal translation: ‘BORN FROM ABOVE.’)
(John 3:3)

So if you are not sure of the answer to, ‘Where will I go when I die?’... Or if you are afraid
you will not go to Heaven, here's good news for you!
"...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him
should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE."
(John 3:16)  “Whoever believes.That’s you!

So again, salvation does not come by following organized religion, joining a particular church, doing
good deeds, or living a moral life.  The Bible says there is only one way to receive salvation:
You must be born again (born from above.)

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that’s exactly what happens.

But He’s waiting for you to ask.

You’ve probably had people try to “witness” to you about Jesus, but they’re pushy.  Jesus isn’t
pushy.  He knows it’s serious business, and He’s waiting for you to make your decision.  He’s waiting
for you to reach out to Him.

The moment you DO... He’ll totally meet you at that place.

Settle the most important question of your life:  Pray the following prayer and receive Jesus as your Savior:

Heavenly Father,

I come to You in the name of Jesus.
I believe in my heart Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
I believe He was raised from the dead for my salvation.

You said in Your Word, "...If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED."

And, "...Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Right now, I call upon the name of the Lord. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and save me.
Cleanse me from all sin. I ask you to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me Your peace. Make me Your child,
  and show me Your ways.

I choose to walk with You all the days of my life. Thank you for hearing my prayer, Lord.

If you prayed this prayer sincerely from your heart, then according to the Bible you are saved and
connected to the Living God!  You are a “new creation.”  We encourage you to grow in your new Life in Jesus.

Get a Bible and read it, especially the New Testament.  Start with the book of John.  And pray every
day to your Heavenly Father.  You may talk to Him anytime.  Ask Him whatever you want to know.
Pray in Jesus’ name.  You’re in for quite an adventure!

You will want to find other believers and spend time with them.  Find a good church where they preach Jesus
or find meetings where you can be taught the Word of God, and study it with others. It’s vital to feed on God’s Word
(the Bible), find out who you are in Christ and begin to appropriate all that He has provided for you!
