Children’s Ministry to Resume
Our Children’s Ministry is resuming today. Children, preschool thru elementary, will be dismissed to their class after the worship. Sandy McIntyre and Jen Webb will teach on alternating Sundays. If you are interested in helping, please contact Pastor Mike.

Help Re-Stock the Food Pantry
          An important part of Jesus’ ministry was – and still is – caring for those in need. We try to do this through the Food Pantry as much as possible.
          Pastor Ed & Lois Thompson have offered space at their home for the Food Pantry while WOL meets at the Winema.
          Please pick up the list in the back to see what items are currently needed. At this time, the Pantry is getting pretty depleted!
          Thank you for caring about this ministry of mercy and compassion.

Youth Group
Word of Life’s Youth Group is set to resume in September. Please stay tuned for details!

Thank you to all of you who continue to help with set-up, take-down and hospitality. You are a huge blessing! Enjoy the Glory of God!!

Attention: Parents with Babies
A closed-circuit TV monitor will be set up in the Lobby, as soon as we can get it together, so you can see and hear the service if you take a fussing little one out there.
A side note to the congregation: We ask for your patience and understanding. Please pray for these young mothers and their precious little ones. We truly want this congregation to surround them with comfort, peace and love.

Restroom Information
         The restrooms for WOL are downstairs. One handicap-accessible restroom is in the Hacienda Restaurant, and they have been so kind as to let us use it as such.
          Note that the restaurant is a separate business. Let's treat our neighbors with respect and be a blessing to them.
          (We recommend you stay after a service and have lunch at the Hacienda. The food is really good, and they are great people! Leave a good tip.)

Understanding the Wind of the Spirit
          Regarding the outpouring of the Glory of God in our midst, here is one way to look at it:
          When a blast of wind blows through a room, it affects everyone differently. Some people get their hair blown a little, or their papers swept around, and some people catch a gust that blows them to the floor!
          So it is when the wind of the Holy Spirit blows into our midst. It affects each one differently. Some laugh, some cry, prophesy, or are caught away in the Spirit.
          And lately, a lot of people have been getting “drunk in the Spirit.” This is scriptural, notably in the Book of Acts where the Apostle Peter said:

For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. (Acts 2:15:19 NKJV)

Using Your Authority for Finances
(from one of Cheryl’s encounters with the Lord):

1. Speak out loud into the spiritual realm and command the finances you need to come to you.
2. Rebuke every demonic spirit that's been assigned by Satan to hinder your finances.
3. Ask God to send angels to gather your blessings and bring them to you.
4. Line up your mouth with your faith and don’t side with the devil against yourself with talk of lack, doubt & unbelief.
5. Be a tither – Develop an attitude of generosity. The "tithe" is the tenth of your income. It belongs to God. Don't give the devil a door of entry by robbing God.
6. Serve the Lord with gladness and thanksgiving! The Lord loves to interact with a cheerful giver!
